Second Call for Application for Green jobs and Sustainable Income Opportunities for Palestinian Female and Male Youth in the Agri-food Sector - Phase II

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, and five Local Palestinian Universities (Al Quds University, Al Quds Open University, Hebron University, An Najah National University, Palestine Technical University – Khadori), is now inviting all female and male youth who have completed the required tailored training packages under project (Green jobs and Sustainable Income Opportunities for Palestinian Female and Male Youth in the Agri-food Sector - Phase II), funded by the Government of Denmark, to apply for the available grant opportunities.

This initiative aims to promote green jobs and enterprise development for Palestinian youth while improving access to decent work and enhancing employment and income generation opportunities. Eligible youth are encouraged to implement their best and competitively selected, concrete, and achievable business plans for green enterprise development. FAO will provide co-investment support with a ceiling of USD 15,000 per beneficiary, not exceeding 80% of the total project budget, using the FAO Investment Support Direct Beneficiary Grants Modality. Grant awards will be based on a thorough review and endorsement of the Cost of Investment breakdown provided by the applicant in their application form.

All eligible youth are invited to submit their applications online though the programme’s online portal: AgriFood Business Investment Support - FAO West Bank and Gaza Strip no later than 16 November 2024 at 23:30 hrs. Jerusalem Time.

Beneficiaries will be selected competitively. Before submitting your application, please review this following document “Guidelines for Preparation and Submission of Applications”.
